Government, donors deliver much-needed horse to pastor

MALUNGON, Sarangani (March 4, 2021) – Asma Akmad, Serbisyong Sarangan community outreach program manager of the Provincial Governor's Office, talks during the simple turnover ceremony of a horse to Regalado Argawanon Jr., a resident of Barangay Malandag, on March 1 at Malandag Central Elementary School (MCES). Akmad emotionally shared how the Office of the Governor received the request of the MCES teachers to help Argwanon in his little desire to have a horse to help him as a Pastor in traveling to a far-flung barangay and do his mission and in delivering and retrieving the learning modules of his children. Akmad said “kahit na ganyan yung condition ni Tatay Jun but he’s trying to live life, proud po kami sa inyo at sa inyong mga anak dahil kahit papaano, talagang tinutukan niyo po ang edukasyon nila.” She told Argawanon “napaka-inpsiring nang inyong ginagawa na mula po sa inyo, umaakyat kayo sa bukid at ginagawa po ninyo ang inyong ministry sa inyong community and that’s a very good thing na sana ay magsilbing inspirasyon sa karamihan.” Argawanon received a horse personally funded by Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon, and a portable sink, kitchen utensils, clothes, grocery items, and cash assistance from the collective effort and contribution of the MCES teachers and some private individuals.
