Maasim receives P209M-worth infrastructure projects

MAASIM, Sarangani (November 11, 2021) – “Padayon ta sa pagtinabangay para makab-ot nato ang tinud-anay nga pag-asenso,” Mayor Zyrex Pacquiao urges his townsfolk during the dedication and ceremonial inauguration of the National Highway Junction Malbang-boundary T’boli provincial road (Phase I and II), Kyumad bridge, and Amsipit multi-purpose building at Barangay Amsipit covered court on November 8. The mayor also encouraged the people to make use of all the blessings being given to their municipality. The P209M project includes the concreting of Phase I of the National Highway Junction Malbang-boundary T’boli provincial road worth P80 million, its P90-million worth Phase II, the P3 million worth Amsipit multi-purpose building, and the P36-million Kyumad bridge. These projects are part of the national government’s implementation of the Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (CMGP) Program in the province and the 20% development fund from the 2019 Annual Investment Program (AIP) of the provincial government. CMGP aims to improve the state of core provincial roads in the country by strengthening the capacity and performance of the provincial governments in the Local Road Management and other relevant areas of Public Financial Management. It contributes to the realization of Ambisyon Natin 2040 and the Build, Build, Build Program of the administration of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte by enhancing the national-local roads connectivity and accessibility to social services and economic opportunities, and to support the sustained inclusive socio-economic progress in the country.
