Sarangani gets reinforcement from nurses in DepEd, PNP and BFP as it combats Covid-19

ALABEL, Sarangani (June 3, 2021) – Provincial Health Officer Dr. Arvin Alejandro leads in the training of nurses from the Department of Education, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Philippine National Police on vaccine immunization and contact tracing on May 28 at the Capitol gym. The training was part of the series of orientations among the stakeholders in the province “because we wanted to institutionalize these nurses to be contact tracers augmenting the municipalities. At least, their profession is in line with the contact tracing process procedure. They can have a big help augmenting the contract tracing in the province,” Alejandro said. Meanwhile, he linked the spike of Covid-19 to the ongoing implementation of the risk-based targeted testing. Alejandro said it is really expected that Covid-19 cases will surge in the province because “of the risk-based targeted testing but after containing all the active cases,” there will be a consequential drop in the numbers. Alejandro continues to appeal to the public to always practice the minimum health standards to “at least” lessen the spread of the coronavirus.
