Barangay Upper Suyan gets multi-million projects from government

MALAPATAN, Sarangani (April 17, 2021) – (From left) Barangay Upper Suyan Captain Boyet Ogan, Mayor Salway Sumbo Jr., and Engr. Gerald Faciol together with Vice Mayor Jean Delos Santos, Mark Tumandan representing Congressman Ruel Pacquiao, and other key persons lead the ribbon-cutting ceremony of Barangay Upper Suyan covered court during the conduct of Serbisyo Caravan para sa Sarangan on April 14. The P3 million-worth covered court was turned over along with the barangay hall worth P2 million; footbridge worth P3 million; covered court benches worth P500,000; and the 350-meter road going to Upper Suyan proper worth P5 million. The multi-million funds poured into Malapatan for the realization of the said infrastructure projects were made possible through the offices of Senator Manny Pacquiao, Congressman Ruel Pacquiao, Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon and Vice Governor Elmer De Peralta. Also, 20% of the municipal local development fund and additional funding from the barangay were part of the funding sources. Mayor Sumbo expressed his gratitude for the overflowing blessings coming into their municipality for these will really help his constituents in many ways. The Serbisyo Caravan para sa Sarangan is part of the Retooled Community Support Program under Executive Order No. 70 which aims to integrate government programs and efforts to actively engage the involvement of the sectors in the farthest barangays in the province.
