Malungon excels in CMCI 2020

MALUNGON, Sarangani (February 23, 2021) – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI-Sarangani), together with the provincial government of Sarangani thru the Investment Division, awards plaques and certificates of recognition to the local government of Malungon for excelling in the overall ranking and in the pillars of the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) 2020, during the CMCI 2020 Provincial Awards on February 17 at Mc Auce Hill, barangay Banahaw. Malungon placed 29th among 489 entries in the 1st and 2nd Class Municipalities, 25th in the Infrastructure Pillar, and 3rd in the Resiliency Pillar, which is by far their greatest feat. A special award of being the Most Improved LGU was also given to them after the improvement in their rankings from the previous year’s CMCI. In 2019, Malungon ranked 11 in the Resiliency Pillar and 52nd in the overall ranking of the 1st and 2nd Class Municipalities. “I would like to give back the credit to the members of the technical working group from the different departments of our town kaya nagkaroon kami sang maayo nga mga plano, and also to the Sangguniang Bayan for approving all our plans,” Mayor Tessa Constantino said.
