MAITUM, Sarangani (January 27, 2021) – Aurea Evans, farmer leader of Greenfield, Barangay Wali, closes the graduation ceremony of the Season-Long Farmers’ Field School (FFS) Organic Farming Production on January 26 at Greenfield. Evans thanked all the individuals, offices, and organizations who helped them by providing their needs and taught them new farming skills. On behalf of all the participants, Evans thanked the offices of the provincial and municipal agriculturists, Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Training Institute, municipal government of Maitum, and the provincial government of Sarangani. The season-long FFS commenced on August 19 and ended on December 19, 2020. Evans also encouraged her co-farmers and growers to continue what they have started and further develop it. “Let us not waste the time we’ve spent in this project as well as the efforts of these offices and individuals who continually support us despite the pandemic,” Evans added. After the event, each participant received farming needs such as pinakbet seeds, fertilizers, and crop nutrient blend. (Jake Narte-Joshua John Pantonial/SARANGANI PROVINCIAL INFORMATION OFFICE)
