Kapehan sa Kapitolyo serves best coffee in Sarangani

ALABEL, Sarangani (October 1, 2020) – A staffer from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI-Sarangani) assists in serving coffee to Capitol employees on October 1 at the Capitol lobby in celebration of the International Coffee Day. According to Mary Lorynail Faith Andrade, project coordinator of RAPID (Rural Agro-Enterprise Partnership for Inclusive Development) and Growth Project of DTI-Sarangani, the Kapehan sa Kapitolyo was set “to commemorate our coffee farmers and processors in Sarangani.” The locally-grown coffee beans featured in the display were from the farmers of Malungon, Malapatan, and local processors based in General Santos City. Andrade said the Kapehan was held in the Capitol “so that tayo mismo from the provincial office will know that we have the best coffee in the province.” “The province, especially we, in DTI, have this RAPID Project in which we assist coffee, cacao, coconut, and banana farmers in the province, so that meron silang mga local buyers ng kanilang products,” she added.
