Revenue generators take center stage

ALABEL, Sarangani (July 27, 2020) – Eliza Cania (left), acting provincial treasurer, and Amelia Catolico (right), acting revenue generation division chief, hands over the tokens and certificate of appreciation to Jose Diani (center), from the Provincial Treasurer’s Office during the awarding and appreciation rites for revenue generators on July 24 at the Capitol gymnasium. Revenue generators are assigned to different municipalities in Sarangani and are tasked to collect revenues from different local sources such as real property tax, sand and gravel tax, delivery van tax, amusement tax, franchise tax and publication tax. Catolico said “didto ni sila naka-assign sa field kay naay business engagement didto so ang ilang trabaho, for example is to go over the delivery receipts gikan sa extraction sa mga graba or balas gikan sa river bed. They are going to base on the number of cubic ana sa karga and even ang authenticity sa karga sa truck”. Catolico added, “dili lang ni sila ticket checkers, they have also become our deputy collectors, naga-check sila and at the same time naga-collect pud kay gamay ra man mi diri sa atong PTO, but despite that, we’re still moving towards our common goal which is to collect revenues.” (Martin Fernando Bernad Jr. - Joshua John S.
