Returning LSIs handled with health and safety protocol

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (June 19, 2020) – Health and rescue personnel from the municipal rescue units of Sarangani take their post as Locally Stranded Individuals (LSI) arrive on June 17 at Makar Wharf. All the attending personnel wore complete personal protective equipment (PPE) as part of the health and safety protocol in handling the returning individuals. The LSIs were the first batch in Region 12 ferried by BRP Gabriela Silang (Offshore Patrol Vessel 8301) after having tested negative from Covid-19 in rapid diagnostic tests in Manila. The LSIs were immediately brought to their designated municipal quarantine facility upon arrival and subjected to health screening and disinfection. They will also undergo quarantine for 14 days and will be closely monitored by the municipal health offices.
