ALABEL, Sarangani (August 15, 2022) – Governor Rogelio “Ruel” D. Pacquiao led the oath-taking rites on August 15 of the Sarangan youth leaders who will govern the corridors, albeit without real power, of the Capitol for a week.

Their journey as little honorables would hone their innate skills and knowledge in politics, particularly in parliamentary procedure, resolution and ordinance -making, and all related activities.

After a tedious selection process, the 15 Sarangan youth leaders took their oath as Sarangani Youth Officials (SJO) 2022 during the Flag Raising Ceremony of the Provincial Capitol on August 15.

ALABEL, Sarangani (August 13, 2022) – In line with the growing ties between China and the Philippines in creating boundless economic opportunities through foreign linkages, Consul General Li Lin of the People’s Republic of China paid a visit to Sarangani on August 12.

With him were Consuls Jin Jun and Chao Jianwei, Chinese businessmen, and representatives of Panhua Integrated Steel, Inc. (PISI).

ALABEL, Sarangani (August 11, 2022) - The government of South Korea, through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), visited Sarangani on August 11.

KOICA representatives introduced new medical and environmental technologies that would benefit the people of Sarangani through improving hospitals, medical services, and equipment.

ALABEL, Sarangani (August 11, 2022) – Provincial Health Officer Dr. Arvin Alejandro described Sarangani’s “health system” to be comprised of a loop of services from the provincial hospitals, rural health units, barangay health stations, and from the super health centers that would soon be constructed in some barangays.

He said health services in Sarangani are delivered in the barangays through health stations and referral of patients to the provincial hospitals at the municipal level is done whenever these stations are incapable of treating the patients.

MALAPATAN, Sarangani (August 11, 2022) – Through the leadership of Governor Rogelio "Ruel" D. Pacquiao, the Ronda Probinsya-Social Enterprise for Empowerment and Development (SEED) and Sarangani Women Enterprise Development Assistance (SWEDA) programs delivered various social aids and services to Sulí Fasaká at Sitio Malcutay in Barangay Patag on August 10.

Sulí Fasaká is a small village in Sitio Malcutay inhabited by the Blaan community, eyed to be an agritourism spot in Malapatan for its beautiful location overlooking Sarangani Bay and the mountainous areas of the province.

ALABEL, Sarangani (August 10, 2022) – In partnership with the Provincial Youth Development Division (PYDD), the Sarangani Junior Officials Alumni Association (SJOAA) held a face-to-face panel interview on August 9 to determine the Top 16 Sarangani Junior Officials 2022.

Thirty-three SJO 2022 aspirants coming from the different municipalities of Sarangani qualified to proceed to the panel interview, wherein they were judged based on their potential, personality traits, and psychosocial attributes.

ALABEL, Sarangani (August 9, 2022) - Provincial Health Officer Dr. Arvin Alejandro said his office is proposing for additional “super health centers” under the Department of Health’s (DOH) Health Facility Enhancement Program to “bring services closer to Sarangans.”

These, he said, would be in addition to the super health centers in Glan and Kiamba which construction are about to commence under the auspices of Governor Rogelio “Ruel” D. Pacquiao.

ALABEL, Sarangani (August 8, 2022) – The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (LGU-PENRO) has distributed tree saplings to Capitol employees to promote Governor Rogelio “Ruel” D. Pacquiao’s “Sarangani 1 Million Trees Project”.

The PENRO, host of the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, August 8, gifted the tree saplings to employees who will celebrate their birthdays this week.
