ALABEL, Sarangani (June 7, 2022) – Over a hundred differently-abled children from all parts of Sarangani and its neighboring towns and cities were assessed and pre-screened in the mobile clinic initiated by Tebow CURE Hospital together with the provincial government of Sarangani.

On June 3, doctors and nurses from Tebow CURE Hospital in Davao City, came to Sarangani to cater to and screen patients with conditions like congenital inborn hernias, bowed legs, clubfoot, knock knees, broken bones, tight tendon, limb deformities, untreated burns, cleft lip, and cleft palate.

MAASIM, Sarangani (June 3, 2022) – Some staff from Sulong Tribu and the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist (OMAG) have conducted a Farmer Field School (FFS) training at Sitio Malmac in Barangay Kablacan.

Twenty farmers of the Knowledge Application Integrated and Sustainable Agriculture (KAISA) Farmers Association learned about dealing with pest management, good crop management, and improving their decision-making abilities in coping with biotic (insect, pests, weeds) and abiotic (water, soil, weather) stresses.

ALABEL, Sarangani (June 3, 2022) - Atty. Felix Alicer, Department of Environment and Natural Resources XII regional executive director, congratulates DENR Sarangani, CENRO Glan, and other stakeholders on the success of the establishment of the Anti-Environmental Crime Task Force Checkpoint during its inauguration on May 30. Alicer said the reason why the integrated checkpoint is established is “for us to come closer to the clientele nato para when they need permits, we can facilitate them here.” “It is a milestone for DENR,” he added. The checkpoint will also serve as a monitoring station in enforcing environmental laws to avoid environmental violations such as illegal transportation of undocumented forest products and wildlife. MAITUM, Sarangani (June 2, 2022) – Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon graces the 63rd Foundation Anniversary and 21st Binuyugan Festival of the municipality of Maitum on May 30 at the Municipal Gym. In his speech, Solon congratulated the Maitumians for the success of the celebration of one of the town’s biggest festivals. Apolinar wins Miss Maitum 2022 title

MAITUM, Sarangani (June 2, 2022) – Barangay Malalag’s Xaña Angel Eve Apolinar bested 11 other finalists to emerge as Miss Maitum 2022 on May 30 at Maitum municipal gym.

Apolinar is 20 years old and is currently taking up Bachelor of Arts in English Language at Mindanao State University-General Santos City.

She is an advocate for children, reading and literacy.

NCIP Ramirez: Destroy walls of division

MAITUM, Sarangani (June 2, 2022) – Timuay Jaime James Ramirez, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples provincial officer, addresses the Lumads, Muslims, and Christian residents of Maitum in his message on May 30 during the Tri-People Day in celebration of Maitum’s 21st Binuyugan Festival. MAITUM, Sarangani (June 2, 2022) – The municipality of Maitum celebrates its 21st Binuyugan Festival to “thank God for the abundant blessings He has bestowed” to the municipality. Among the highlights of the celebration is the Agri-Trade Fair Exhibit that features the bountiful harvest of the local farm produce of the Maitumian farmers. Several fruits, vegetables, crops, and other farm products were displayed and were sold at a reasonable price. The activities of the festivity ran from May 26-31, along with the celebration of the 63rd Founding Anniversary of the municipality.
