MAASIM, Sarangani (June 20, 2022) – Some members of the LGBTQIA+ light up the night of June 17 during the first-ever Maasim Drag Race Superstar competition in celebration of the 15th Kestebeng Festival and the 53rd founding anniversary of Maasim. The competition was participated in by 16 drag queens from the different barangays in the town. Accordingly, a drag queen race is an activity of doing drag for reasons ranging from self-expression to mainstream performance. Drag shows frequently include lip-syncing, live singing, and dancing. A drag queen is a person, usually male, who uses drag clothing and makeup to imitate and often exaggerate female gender signifiers and gender roles for entertainment purposes. MAASIM, Sarangani (June 20, 2022) – Fourteen teams of players from all over Maasim compete in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Tournament semi-finals on June 18 at the Municipal Atrium, Municipal Compound. MAASIM, Sarangani (June 20, 2022) – Some 20 professional divers from Sarangani and General Santos City join in the Dive Safari Tour 2022 on June 19 in line with the celebration of the 15th Kestebeng Festival. The Dive Safari Tour 2022 will hold an underwater photo contest both in the macro and wide categories to document marine life deep within Sarangani Bay. MAASIM, Sarangani (June 20, 2022) – Vice Mayor Visitacion Nambatac (2nd from left) leads the tree planting activity on June 17 as part of the celebration of the 15th Kestebeng Festival and the 53rd founding anniversary of Maasim. PIO photographers also blood donors

ALABEL, Sarangani (June 17, 2022) – In celebration of the World Blood Donor Month, photographers of the Provincial Information Office participate in the bloodletting activity by donating a share of their blood on June 14 at Barangay Kawas gymnasium. The PIO team was initially set to just document the activity but then decided to join the efforts and save lives. They were among the 88 successful blood donors who participated in the event. Roll up sleeve, give blood, save lives

ALABEL, Sarangani (June 15, 2022) – Regular and first-time donors have given a share of their blood during the bloodletting activity at Barangay Kawas in celebration of World Blood Donor Day.

Some 88 blood bags were collected from 88 successful blood donors on June 14. The World Blood Donor Day is an annual event observed by every country around the world every June 14. It serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors who generously give to save lives.

MAITUM, Sarangani (June 15, 2022) – The Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF) released Salagbanog/Sarangani Eagle back to its original home at Mt. Busa in Barangay Ticulab on June 13.

Salagbanog/Sarangani Eagle was rescued on January 2021 after it was seen trapped in the thorny rattan vines in the vast forest of Salagbanog Falls in Ticulab.

Salagbanog/Sarangani Eagle was then turned over to the Philippine Eagle Center (PEC) through the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-Kiamba) and Environmental Protection and Conservation Center (ECPC) Sarangani.

June 14, 2022. This afternoon, Deputy Speaker & Governor-Elect Rogelio "Ruel" D. Pacquiao with his Transition Team headed by Atty. Ryan Jay Ramos had a Meet and Greet with the different Department Heads of the the Provincial Government of Sarangani at the Kasfala Hall of the provincial capitol.

Incoming governor Pacquiao presented to the Department Heads his 7-point program which aims to improve the governance structure of barangays; continue the gains of peacebuilding; preserve the cultural integrity of our IP and Moro communities; provide robust education opportunities to Sarangan youth; and, overall, to improve the quality of life of our vulnerable sectors.

The Departmemt Heads also had their individual presentation regarding their mandate in helping the provincial government.

Governor Ruel Pacquiao thanked the Department Heads and asked for their cooperation as he is about to assume office in the afternoon of June 30, 2022.
