Kids enjoy summer by planting mangrove seedlings

MAASIM, Sarangani (April 30, 2012) – Siblings Janjan (center) and Mechel (right) with a friend plant mangrove seedlings Monday, April 30, as they join the mangrove planting and coastal cleanup organized by the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office in celebration of Earth Day. It was participated in by partners from non-government organizations and private sector at barangay Tinoto. The theme is “Earth Day, Everyday, Everywhere”. The MENRO-Maasim provided the 1,300 mangrove seedlings and dump truck for the garbage collected during the clean up. For more news and updates, please visit the www.sarangani.gov.ph.
