Glan flashflood and storm surge aftermath

GLAN, Sarangani (June 13, 2012) – Driftwood that washed ashore due to storm surge and debris carried down to the beach from the highlands by flashfloods triggered by the non-stop heavy rain on early morning of Tuesday (June 12) make these kids ponder while looking at the mud-colored waves of Sarangani Bay Seascape that used to be clear and calm water where they used to play. This photo taken Wednesday, June 13, is the aftermath of nature’s wrath at the shore of barangay Big Margus. Big Margus is one of the four barangays greatly affected by the flashfloods that prompted the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (MDRRMC) to declare the entire municipality of Glan under a state of calamity.
