MAITUM, Sarangani (June 12, 2012) – School children proudly celebrate the 114th Philippine Independence Day in their hometown of Maitum, which is known as sanctuary of the endangered marine turtles and offers the white-water river tubing adventure. Maitum is also home of the 2000-year old anthropomorphic burials jars which is unparalleled in Southeast Asia. A diorama of the ancient jars is on display at the Municipal Hall atrium.
