MESSAGE
The Province of Sarangani shall once again venture to the mainstream of innovations- this time for our students.

In an effort to support interactive education, which happens to be the norm today; The province launches “Tamdanan sa Balaod”.

True to its vernacular meaning, “Tamdanan sa Balaod” ( legal basis ) shall be the show window of the Province, at least in the internet, about the important legislative measures passed by our Sanggunian Panlalawigan and the Sanggunian Bayan of the seven (7) municipalities of the Province, in order for our academe to access.

We are hopeful that thru our continuing efforts, we help educate our children, not only of their awareness that their Officials of the Province and the Municipalities are doing its part in the enactment of laws and resolutions for the welfare of its constituents, but most especially for them to acquire the necessary knowledge, and understanding of the meaning of these laws and regulations; these may now be downloaded over the net for their references and used in their schools. Please just log on at www.saragani.gov.ph.

To our children, rest assured that your Officials in the Province and in the Municipalities shall continue to dedicate our time in the making of programs, projects, including innovations for your benefits, your parents and your communities.

Good Luck and may you have a good use of these materials!

MESSAGE

The lack of knowledge about the laws implemented locally is one reason why people become adamant of there rights and privileges. This is why the “Tamdanan Sa Balaod” was created by the Provincial Government of Sarangani through the Provincial Legal Office.

The “Tamdanan Sa Balaod” is another level of legal education which aims to provide information to the citizens of Sarangani Province, about the laws that affect them and there rights as individuals. The website will serve as a facility for easy access to resolutions and ordinances crafted by our local legislators.

Through its website, legal information will not now be a click away. As the Presiding Officer of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, I believe this initiative will not only increase awareness of the importance of legislation, but also improve governance through transparency.

Be informed. Get involved.

Ordinance for the Cycles
Municipal Ordinance 2008-050

It is but a symbiotic environment and everything we do. We need to compensate and place the balance where it should be.

The unexpected rise of petroleum in the International Market brought for a downside for our government and for our simple transport carriers. The weekly increase in the price of diesoline, oil and other petroleum products entail pocket draining stories for our drivers of tricycles and motorsikads.

In order for them to cope with the necessity to provide transportation daily, the rates for the fare must be increased attuned to the increase of petroleum, scientifically it is considered as a direct proportion.

It is but a difficulty to our drivers if they solely bear the burden of maintaining and keeping their motorized trisikad and tricycles operating. It is but a symbiotic environment and everything we do. We need to compensate and place the balance where it should be.

The increase in the fare is but justified. The Municipal Ordinance 2008-050 has expressly stated the rates with which a patron of these “pampasaherong” tricycles must give. However, even if this is a democratic community of mutuals, the over imposition of fares is penalized by this ordinance.

Therefore, a well oiled motor for a safe travel must be a measure so we must help of drivers and operators by paying their services as well and so as for the driver, to lead us safe and sound to our destinations.
